Final Fantasy 7 Remake review - a faithful retread, with a few missteps along the way. An expansive remake that treads carefully upon this most cherished of games, though some blunders will linger long in the memory. Note: Eurogamer reviewed the base FF VII Remake (PS4). Square Enix tells a smaller, more personal Final Fantasy 7 tale and marries it with a smart mashup of action and RPG gameplay to deliver a must-play experience. Intermission serves as a tantalizing tease of Yuffie's inevitable meeting with Final Fantasy 7's core cast, and an excellent reason to return to Midgar to experience her new exhilarating style of combat and entertaining side activities. Note: This review covers the Intergrade PS5 upgrade and its exclusive Episode INTERmission DLC featuring Yuffie. The base FF VII Remake was also scored 8/10 by IGN.
